College Station Collage

During the Fall 2023 Semester I worked on a student run documentary series at Texas A&M University. The project titled College Station Collage focuses on covering passion projects that students actively pursue in the city of College Station and Bryan.

Aggie Bonfire

In this episode we did full coverage on one of Texas A&M's biggest traditions the Aggie Bonfire. Since the bonfires collapse in 1999 the school stopped the tradition but many old alumni and current students decided to keep it going on their own.

For the full semester every week we followed the Aggie Bonfire Committee through each phase of the tradition. We filmed the Cutting phase, Stacking phase, Bonfire Memorial and the Burn night. During this portion of the project I was filming with different cameras, taking photos and conducting some interviews.

Aggie Lemons Coming Soon

The Aggie Lemons is a club at Texas A&M where they actively compete in the race 24 hours of Lemons. The race is a parody of the Le Mans Race in France and in this race teams are required to race a car with a budget of only $500 for 24 hours to see how many laps they can complete. We covered the team as they fixed up their car for the race and at the official race day.

This project is still in the process of being edited and has plans of being entered in an SEC student film project in the year 2025. I also created a blog about my time covering the Aggie Lemons the semester when their engine busted which covers their time as a team preparing for the race and their time as a team and history.
